Madhhab Negotiation, Education Transformation and Conflict Resolution in Conveying the Sermon of Tablighi Jamaat in Southeast Asia

The article aims to understand the phenomena of practicing madhhab in Tablighi Jamaat (TJ) community Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. also investigates negotiation between TJ members local people where dawah occurs a specific context. looks at changes religious educational program developed by that tend be informal education. majority education surrounding communities is tahfiz school (memorizing Quran). are more interested sending their children than later become Islamic priests (kyai). They not semade take university level. Besides, concerns exploring another role socio-political context they facilitators overcome Pattani Muslim conflict with Thai government. This research was conducted for year 2017-2018 (March 2017-April 2018) three countries using ethnography approach during process collecting data directly involved activities. mothed used this qualitative observative participative technique, deep interview, documentation. result shows Jamaah Tabligh successful negotiating believe different point view. Moreover, shifting orientation emerging community, focus on exegesis without paying attention aspect children. Parents have pride called father hafiz doctor. Another finding Tablig prominent as reconciliatory Pattani, South Thailand earned trust from Government. Amid deadlock reconciliation who want separate state regression created violence, bombing arresting activist, tablig there guarantor.
